Church is at its very best when we remember that God calls us not to small or safe dreams, but to visions that stretch us. The prophets remind us that God’s Spirit is poured out on all people—young and old, rich and poor, strong and vulnerable alike. Jesus tells us that the kingdom of God is like a mustard seed: tiny at first, but when it grows, it becomes a shelter for many.
