You don’t have to carry this alone:
There are moments when life feels heavy—
when words are hard to find, or when you don’t know what to do next.
Prayer is one way we hold those moments—with honesty, with hope, and with care.
At Forest Grove United Methodist Church, we pray for one another, for our community, and for the world.
And we would be honored to pray for you.
What is prayer?
Prayer isn’t about having the right words.
It can be:
- Gratitude
- Grief
- Questions
- Silence
- Hope
Prayer is simply bringing your life—just as it is—into the presence of God.
You don’t have to be certain. You don’t have to have it figured out.

A simple prayer:
If you’re not sure what to say, you might begin here:
God,
You know what I’m carrying, even when I don’t have the words.
Hold me in your care.
Give me strength for today and hope for what’s ahead.
Amen.
We are here with you:
Whether you reach out or simply pause for a moment of quiet,
know this:
You are not alone.
You are held in love.
